    Description

    This bayonet / fighting sword is in good condition. Everything is held together tightly. There are a couple worn areas as expected from service weapons. Rear catch is functional and moves freely with ease. Grips are wood are are clearly original and in excellent condition given their age. Guard is also in excellent condition with no dings or dents. There is no serial number. The ricasso has "AFH" and "U.S.", Flaming Bomb and the year 194 is legible. I could expose the final number in the year but do not want to risk it. The blade appears to be the factory edge and original finish, it has a few scratches and a couple minor nicks on the blade. There is no rust, pitting or signs of verdigris. The point is not dented or appears to have no contact damage.
    The scabbard is leather and is excellent shape. No
    oxidized anywhere.
