Description
A wooden finial elaborately carved in the form of an ancestor playing the flute, with eyes inlaid with cowrie shells, painted in black, and highlighted with white polychrome, mounted on a hollowed-out bamboo staff with cane bands.
CONDITION: In good condition considering its age, showing the age and usage, with wear and age cracks (as is common in old wood).
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length including the bamboo pole: 67.3 cm (26.5 inches). Overall length of the wooden sculpture: 39.5 cm (15.55 inches).
