Super Rare, Bryce, Vaseline Glass, Bee Honey Box Base

Description

Here we have, a super rare, Bryce, vaseline glass Honey Box base.
The pattern is called Bee, or could be Fly, depending on how you look at it.
This is the base only for the covered dish.
The top looks like a Bee or Fly, if you have a book and look it up. You may be able to
find a photo on the internet, but none for sale or listed anywhere.
The edge has panels all around, and the sides are paneled also, with the bottom having a
block pattern with x's.
It measures 8 1/2" long, 6 1/4" wide, and is 1 1/2" high.
Glows like crazy under a black light, as you can see in the last two photos.
It has one nick on the tail end, on the inside of where the lid set, right side back wing.
If you have a top, and need a base, no matter what the color, here is a nice piece.
They made five colors. Clear, green, blue, amber, and vaseline.
You can mix the colors, or if you have the same color, the more better.
I found a photo of a vaseline top on a clear base in my pressed glass book, and it looked
great.
Dates to around 1890.
Beautiful piece, even without the top, but a top would make this a killer piece!!!
