Ceremonial Paddle
from the the region of Lake Sentani of Papua - Irian Jaya, Indonesia,
the decoration is carved in relief and coloured with black and red,
the paddle seems to have it's original length, there is no decoration on the handle, except for a ring shaped carving at 1/3 down the handle,
the handle has a smooth and glowing patine, the handle's end has authentic signs of handling, with a lighter patine and an old splinter,
condition:
very nice, firm, no restorations,
messurements circa 140 x max. 14,5 cm / circa 55.1 x max. 5.7 inch,
weight circa 800 gr.
