The table top on this rustic log table is constructed of solid pine for a stable surface that won't warp over time. The legs are
solid lodge-pole pine logs
and are hand-peeled with old fashioned draw knives for a rustic skip-peeled look.
Very sturdy Amish made log table for years of use. There is some basic assembly required once the table gets to your home.
You will need to attach the legs to the top
. All the hardware and easy to follow instructions are included.
Another great benefit of furnishing your home with rustic log furniture is the
easy upkeep
on it. If you do get a nick or scratch on any of the furniture,
simply sand it a little
and dab some finish on it. ( We use Minwax brand for our stains and varnishes which can be found at most hardware or paint stores)
We choose to work with lodgepole pine as it grows naturally in the forests of NW montana and is known for its superior strength to weight ratio. It is also straighter, thus making it easier to work the raw wood into the highest quality furniture possible. Our lodge pole pine is harvested in the Kootenai National Forest via a very selective process. Skilled woodsmen select each tree with an attentive eye toward the quality, straightness and size of each specimen. After felling, each piece is hand carried to the road to ensure both the tree and the environment remain unharmed. Then each log is hand peeled, using the skip-peel method where some of the inner bark is left on the logs, creating a beautiful rustic piece of furniture for your home, lodge or cabin.
