For good reason, this Papua New Guinea, East Sepik River hand carved & hand painted wood & woven rattan tribal, ceremonial mask was chosen by its owner over possibly many others. The individual who previously owned the mask was said to have traveled extensively, often attending business meetings in Australia & in southeast Asia. This tribal, indigenous mask was displayed prominently in the home & given an important display spot in the library between 2 windows, largely protected from the harmful effects of sunlight.
