👍 RARE CHINA 1938 PREMIER H.H. KUNG SIGNED CERTIFICATE FOR DONATION TO WAR 孔祥熙

Description

Original certificate measuring 350 mm x 273 mm. According to the words on the certificate, the certificate recipient donated a large sum of money for the war efforts against the Japanese in China. In return, he was presented with a large photo of the Generalissimo Chiang Kai Shek and this certificate with the original signature and four Chinese ink hand written words of encouragements by the Premier H.H. Kung.

Dr. H. H. Kung
, was a Chinese banker and politician in the early 20th century. He married Soong Ai Ling, the eldest of the three Soong sisters; the other two married Sun Yat Sen and Chiang Kai Shek. Together with his brother-in-law, Soong Tse Ven, he was highly influential in determining the economic policies of the Kuomintang-led Nationalist government in the 1930s and 1940s.
