    Description

    A nice and old Massim culture war club of dark hardwood. A heavy bladed war club. An ideal weapon for fracturing enemy bones. This one must've inflicted quite a few fatal blows...during its years in service (1890s - 1910s).
    The wood is a natural dark brown hued wood - a very strong wood.
    Good patina on the handle; the tradition zig zag design on top portion - with traces of lime within the triangular cells.
    A very old label on the top edge - carries an inscription
    " New Guinea Battle Axe"
    This is a beautiful old war club! Older than most examples around.
    Measures - full length 33 inches......width 6 inches.
