The guard is lightly aged in NOS (New Old Stock) style. The surface of the pickguard is
buffed; giving a worn but polished effect, with slight hazing in places and with soft rolled edges. The wider bevel is
the period correct with a thick middle ply, the cut edges show the cut marks and are a satin smoothed finish
These have the look of a pickguard on a
mint
or
excellent condition vintage guitar.
They are different to our 'RELIC aged' because they do not have the in-grained dirt and staining.
These are custom cut and we are the only source in the UK for these
pickguards. R
arely do you find a non nitrate guard of this quality as t
hey look very much like original nitrate plates.
These can fool a lot of experts, as a genuine vintage celluloid nitrate
guard unless examined in detail.
