Family dog presents Canned Heat and John Mayall at Winterland Halloween 1968, a rare one night only postcard in pristine condition. I attended this show-one of the all around best shows I ever saw in that era of being able to go to a show('Hey, what do you want to do tonight?-who's playing in the city?') A wonderful time(1966-1970) to be living in the S.F. Bay area.Canned Heat was the best I've seen them-Al Wilson was magical-spooky good, best light show I've ever seen by Jerry Abrams 'Head Lights' outfit-beautiful composition, stunning, naked blonde girl swaying amidst the colored oils, prompting Bob Hite to turn around and watch it awhile, saying,'what a night to be on acid!,When John Mayall came on said-'We do't want the light show, we don't want what happened to Canned Heat to happen to us'!Everyone around thought'Huh?', where's this guy at with his longish hair, fringed leather coat and from England? Mick Taylor was REAL good though, and the light show did NOT stop. Good times.
