    Description

Original and excellent early WWII U.S. GI issue UTICA manufactured circa 1943 M3 Trench Fighting Knife and scarce 1st Type M8 scabbard. The circa 1943 M3 was manufactured by Utica and is so marked on the blade. The pommel secured by two pins and is marked with an ordnance bomb. The blade has never been modified, has not been sharpened other than factory, is not nicked, and the tip is perfect. The leather swasher stacked handle is all intact, not oil soaked, and its cross uard has no wobble whatsoever. The sheath is of the scarce 1st Type M8 variety which has never been modified with the metal belt hook. The scabbard was manufactured by Beckwith Material  (B.M CO.) USM8 and is so marked on the metal fitting (not USM8A1). The scabbard also has intact its original leather leg thong. Overall a very nice WWII M3 Trench Fighting Knife which is so nice to have its original WWII scabbard, not a postwar modified USM8A1 which they are almost are. Absolutely 100% lifetime guaranteed to be an original. Free USPS Priority Shipping.
