Cambridge Glass Company 1923 Volstead Flip Up Bedside Decanters In Uranium Glass

This is for the pair of Cambridge Glass Company Volstead flip up bedside decanters in Uranium glass produced in 1923.  The color is Pistachio.  Both the dog and cat decanters are the 8" tall set which are scarce.  It is very unlikely to find both with the shot glass stopper intact, let alone in Uranium glass. There was a more common size produced by Cambridge Glass which was 10-11" or taller and may possibly be found with the shot glass stopper if you are willing to search and have the time and patience, but most often the stopper is long gone or damaged.  As you can see by the pictures, the decanters and stoppers are in perfect condition and described as such in the appraisal.  The pictures show natural and UV light exposure. The dog decanter has the tag on the bottom PO 228.  This was from Pam Ochs collection, a published author on American glass.  I will not separate them for collecting purposes.  I have had both appraised by Bradbury’s Appraisal Inc. located in Scottsdale, Arizona.  You will receive two copies of the appraisal booklet which is important for authenticity, insurance and condition.  The price reflects the fair market value for insurance replacement purposes.  I do not want buyer’s remorse, be absolutely sure you want to invest in this set before bidding.  I rate the Volstead pup and cat in the 8” size right at the top of rare and hard to find Cambridge Glass in pristine condition.
