c1890 7 Card Set, Ages of Man, Dobbins Electric Soap Victorian Advertising Cards

Description

This is a wonderful set of seven Victorian trade cards with each representing one of the seven stages of man.  It begins with the infant and  ends with "Mere Oblivion sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything."  Each has a part of a long quotation from Shakespeare's "As You Like It" continuing from card to card.  Each also has advertising for Dobbins' Electric Soap on the back.  They are all5" by 3" with golden backgrounds to the cartoons.
