Antique NORRISTOWN PA High Eagle Helmet w/ Leather Shield NORRISTOWN HOSE
This auction is for an antique high eagle leather fire helmet made with a leather shield on the front for the Norristown Hose Co No. 1 of Norristown, Montgomery County, PA.  The helmet is leather with old white repaint and an embossed high eagle holding the top of the shield.  The maximum dimensions are 10 ¾” wide x 14 ½” long x 8 ⅝” high.  The condition is Fine with alligatoring and wear to the white paint, tear holes at the upper edge of the shield where rivets pulled out, and minor moth marks on the brown felt liner (see photo details).  There is no maker’s mark or label on the helmet.  Please look at all the photos and ask any questions.  See my other auctions.  Combined shipping is available to save postage.
