    Beautiful Antique 14kt Gold  Simons Brothers of PA. 14kt Thimble Size 10 hallmarked. Thimble has beautiful 12 sided scroll work around the band. 6 with scrolls and 6 plain. No monograms. Weight is 4.4 grams.

    Established in 1840 by John F. Simons and his three sons
    (John F., Frederick M. and Edwin S.) the firm was joined some years later by his brother Peter B. Simons. In 1861 c. Thomas Maddock and S.B. Opdyke entered in the business and the firm changed its name to Simons Bro. Opdyke & Co. After the retirement of Opdyke and of the elder Simons the business was continued under the name of Simons Bro. & Co.
