    If only this helmet could talk. We have here a 1 bugle officer helmet. This came from the Dearborn Heights Fire Department that is just west of Detroit Michigan. Everything about this helmet looks awesome. The shield , straps, ear flaps, adjusting size knob, eagle on the front, reflators and leather badge all look almost new. Putting this helmet on brings back so many memories. I was a firefighter for 15 years on Troy FD. That's 45 minutes north of downtown Detroit. Red helmets always meant officer to me and so does this one. There is a single bugle on the badge. NFPA says that there is approximately 1.1 million firefighters in 2018. I am hoping that this helmet with all it's stories ends up in good hands and displayed proudly in someone's collection. Enjoy!!!
